We’re looking to raise about $100k through Kickstarter.
$100k is a lot of money. In the scheme of an actual film budget it’s not. It’s considered micro-budget or super-duper low budget.
Want to see what a budget looks like for something this “micro”? You’ll notice the limited amount for casting and almost nothing set aside for locations, even though there will be around 30 locations. Many of which can be combined from one location. A single “bar” can be made to look like five different locations for instance. Also this budget inclueds money for the writer, director etc.. which of course should be $0 as I won’t be drawing a salary for making this.
